Meet our Board
President
Sue Plowright
Sue Plowright is a teacher, adult educator and educational administrator with over 30 years of experience in educational, governance and community roles.
She helped start, and has helped run, the Toora Youth Group for seven years.
Executive Secretary
Michael Shirrefs
Michael Shirrefs is a composer and sound designer, living in what he calls Upper Fish Creek North. He has a long and involved history in and around the Arts - as musician, sound engineer, printmaker and over three decades as a radio broadcaster and documentary-maker with the ABC, both in Australia and in Europe.
Michael built a house in the Corner Inlet region more than twenty years ago, moving full-time to the area in 2014. Since then, his involvement in the workings of the local community has grown, especially in the realm of community arts.
Treasurer
Linley Granger
Linley had a career in organisational development, mainly in the Commonwealth public sector. Retirement brought the opportunity to follow the examples of her mother and grandmother by becoming involved in practical community service.
She feels that being a Committee Member allows her to apply her education and experience in leadership and governance to an organisation that makes a real difference to the Corner Inlet community.
Minutes Secretary
Kerry Strauss
Ensuring that the minutes are accurate, complete and distributed is an important task and we're very glad to have Kerry - a glass artist - with us to be sure it gets done right.
Kerry volunteers to support the community who have supported her since moving to the area in 2017.
Committee Member
Robyn Carseldine
Robyn moved to the area in 2019 and once retired got straight into being part of the life of Manna Gum.
She loves the vibe at the Community Cafe on Mondays and enjoys making fabulous treats to offer its patrons, as well as cooking up preserves that are sold regularly in the community to support Manna Gum's programs.
Committee Member
Ann-Maree Gentile
Ann-Maree made her way onto the committee at Manna Gum Community House due to her involvement in the Manna Community Garden.
The only book she’s read more than once since childhood is Catch 22 - she will never join a book club.

Committee Member
Charmaine Reader
Charmaine is a health professional who, after travelling and working around Australia, settled in South Gippsland in 2017 because she loves the strong sense of community in Foster.

She has an interest in ensuring that Manna Gum continues to be a welcoming, inclusive space for all Corner Inlet residents.

She loves reading (yes, the name is appropriate), has dabbled in writing, and loves being part of book clubs.
Committee Member
Could this be you?
Having people from all walks of life and varied experiences makes all the difference to the effectiveness of the Committee, so don't hold back if you'd like to part of shaping a central and important organisation that does so much for people in our area.

The Committee meets once per month.
