NDIS – Community Information Sessions
11 October 2017 at Manna Gum Community House
10am-11.30am – This general information session is designed to help people with disability, as well as their families and carers, get ready for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) which will commence in your area from 1st October 2017.
The session will cover topics such as:
• What is the NDIS and how does it work?
• What kind of support can I access through the NDIS?
• Accessing the NDIS and the roll out of NDIS in the Inner Gippsland area
The session will be delivered by Latrobe Community Health Services (LCHS). LCHS is your Local Area Coordination service responsible for implementing the NDIS in Inner Gippsland. This is an opportunity for you to bring your questions along and have them answered by a NDIA representative
1pm-2.30pm – Getting ready for the NDIS and your planning conversation
The NDIS Inner Gippsland Local Area Coordination Service will provide additional information sessions and resources on what people with a disability, their families and carers can do to get ready for the NDIS – Preparing for your planning conversation and first plan.
