We are receiving offers from local community members on a daily basis, wanting to help support vulnerable people in Corner Inlet affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are currently taking people’s names and contact numbers who would like to volunteer in some capacity, either with food deliveries or another form of support for people in self-isolation.
We are receiving new clients for our Foodbank and we anticipate that this will continue to build as the economic effects of COVID-19 take hold and the unemployment rate rises. We are focussing our efforts on supporting people with food, material aid and referrals to support services. We are collaborating with community support networks in the small towns that are part of our service area of Corner Inlet.
If you would like to volunteer please contact us.
If you would like to support our Foodbank, please donate here.
We are accepting donations of produce from people’s gardens on Tuesdays and Thursdays when our office is open from 10am-3pm. Some of the food will be distributed, some will be preserved or cooked into meals.
Thank you to everybody who has been in touch with us – we have such a strong community and we are proud to be a part of the support network that helps our most vulnerable during challenging times.
