Community Cafe
social trader ethos and community connectedness
hours and offerings
We open the Community Cafe on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10am - 2pm

It's a popular spot for groups to gather but also a cosy place for a friendly chat with one of our volunteers

First: coffee. We have a modern coffee machine that can deliver barista style beverages at a very reasonable price served with a complimentary sweet something and a smile

Toasties, crepes and soups are created by our very capable volunteers if you need something more substantial
outdoor space
safe and sunny
Enclosed by a fence and fitted out with a BBQ, covered seating area and cubby for the kids - it's all easily accessed and adjoins the cafe if you've got a large group turning up
volunteers
it's lots of fun
We are 100% operated by volunteers, making it a truly community enterprise

Speak to the staff or one of our lovely volunteers if you'd like to join in the fun. The more volunteers we have the more we can open up this great space to the community and in doing so support more programs
food rescue
don't throw it out!
We want the community to benefit from local resources and reduce food waste, so if you've got an excess of raw ingredients, you've over catered for an event or a cancellation means you're stuck with food you don't know what to do with, get in touch!

There are various ways we can distribute food - whether it's to individuals, our monthly Community Lunch, Youth Group dinners, to make preserves for fundraising or to create frozen meals for those experiencing food insecurity
about social enterprise
Manna Gum has been certified by Social Traders to generate profit for charitable purposes. The cafe is staffed entirely by volunteers and 100% of the profits are used to support Manna Gum's community services and programs for Corner Inlet.
